Do you actually do web dev ? How many times you struggled with mingled CSS ? Since there is no ShadowDOM CSS boundry - it's hard to make sure some top level CSS rule is not breaking your very special div style.

Now compare this number with number of times you struggled with layouting your page ? I bet first one is far more common and costly task.
